Gene Hiser
Gene Taylor Hiser (born December 11, 1948) is an American former professional baseball player who played five seasons for the Chicago Cubs from 1971 through 1975. He was drafted in the 1st round (19th pick) of the 1970 amateur draft.[1]
He spent a portion of the 1971 season on active military duty prior to joining the Cubs for 17 games that year.[2]
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended college at the University of Maryland, where he played on the baseball team.
