Genbun

Genbun (元文) was a Japanese era name (年号, nengō,, lit. "year name"), also Gembun, after Kyōhō and before Kanpō. This period spanned the years from April 1736 through February 1741.[1] The reigning emperor was Sakuramachi-tennō (桜町天皇).[2]
