Gbenga Adeboye (1959-April 2003) is a Nigerian singer, comedian, radio presenter and master of ceremony.[4]

Early life

The Nigerian humorist was born in Osun State, southwestern Nigeria.[5] He was described as merchant and legendary king of traditional Oduology by his fans before he died of kidney-related diseases on april 30, 2003.[6] He was a chief host of a popular radio program presented in Lagos State Broadcasting Corporation in the early 1980s where he got the household name Funwonta Oduology.[7] Gbenga was described as a generous comedian by a veteran Nigerian actor, Idowu Philips whose first car was a gift from the comedian.[8]
