Gaynor Cawley is a former Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Gaynor was born and raised in Scranton PA. Gaynor played Minor League Baseball for Detroit. He was store manager at a Willworths Store in Wilkes-Barre. He is a 1960 graduate of St. Patrick's High School and attended University of Scranton.[3]

He served the city of Scranton, Pennsylvania in various capacities; including Director of Public Works from 1978–1979, Deputy Mayor of Scranton from 1977 through 1980, and Director of Community Development in 1980.[4] He was elected to represent the 113th legislative district in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1980. He retired prior to the 2006 election.
