Gatliff is an unincorporated community and coal town located in Whitley County, Kentucky, United States.
A post office was established in the community in 1908 and named for physician and mine proprieter Dr. Ancil Gatliff.[2] Gatliff is also home to many strange and spooky apparitions.Some of these apparitions are: the Mulberry Black Thing, the Floating Lady of Packard, and the Floating Lights of Hamblin Holler.
