Gateacre railway station was a station located on the North Liverpool Extension Line on the north side of Belle Vale Road, Gateacre, Liverpool. It is sometimes reported as Gateacre & Woolton.
The station closed to passengers on 15 April 1972.[1] It was planned that the station would reopen as the southern terminus of Merseyrail's Northern Line. This never occurred with Hunts Cross station becoming the terminus. The tracks were used for freight trains to Liverpool Docks not being lifted until early 1979.
The station was located near the bottom of Gateacre Brow near The Black Bull public house, to the north of the railway bridge which is still in place.
