Gateacre Village F.C. are an English association football club based in Gateacre, Liverpool, Merseyside. Formed in 2012, they currently play in the West Cheshire League Division Two. The first team is currently managed by Jamal Dermott.
Gateacre F.C. were formed in 2012 and was elected into the West Cheshire League Division Three for the 2012-13 season. In 2012 they also became a FA Charter Standard Club. They changed to their current name in 2013.
2012-13 season
Not only was this their first season in the West Cheshire League it was also Gateacre's first season as a club. In the league, Gateacre were unbeaten until 9 February 2013 when they were beaten 3-1 by Widnes Vikings F.C., Gateacre like many teams in the area fell victim to the bad weather in the winter of 2012-13. However after a busy few weeks Gateacre finished their season on 29 April when they beat Merseyside Police which left them in second position and they were therefore promoted to Division Two. In the West Cheshire League Division Three shield Gateacre were knocked out after being beaten 3-1 by Redgate Rovers F.C. at the Quarter Final stage.
Ground
Gateacre first team train and play their matches at the brand new state of the art Childwall Sports and Science Academy were they have an 11 a side pitch, a fitness suite and indoor 5 a side pitch available.
