Gastón Nicolás Soffritti (born December 13, 1991)[1] is an Argentine actor. He debuted as an actor at the age of 9 years and is known for his roles in the series Floricienta, Patito Feo, Sueña Conmigo and Graduados.

Biography

Gastón Soffritti's first work was in the telenovela Yago, pasión Morena. He was aged 9 by then, and was selected from other 1,500 kids seeking to join the cast. He played the cousin of Facundo Arana's character.[2] His parents took care that his work in television did not interfere with his education, and sent him to five different schools in his available time schedules.[3]

He became famous as the lead male actor of the teen drama Patito Feo.[4] The successful telenovela lasted for two seasons.[5]

Gastón Soffritti worked in Graduados, departing from the teen drama genre, as he wanted to try other ones.[2] He received the proposal while making a short production for América 2. To design his character he had interviews with all the other actors who played roles linked with it; this included most of the cast because his character was a nexus between the two families of the plot, the firm and the school.[2] He praised the actress Nancy Dupláa, who played his mother in the fiction.[3]

He will work in Vecinos en guerra, an upcoming telenovela produced by Underground, along Mike Amigorena and Mónica Antonopulos. His character in the fiction will be a young thief, a completely different one from the character played in Graduados.[6]

Gastón Soffritti is also a guitar and drum player. He has a band named Quimera 9.[3]
