Gary Street is an English rugby union coach. He coached England women's national rugby union team from 2007 and soon retired after the England Women's Rugby team won the Rugby World Cup in 2015. [1]
Career
Playing Career
Street played as a scrum-half for Aston Old Edwardians.[2]
Coaching Career
He was an Assistant Coach to Geoff Richards in 2006 before taking over as Head Coach a year later.[3][4] He coached them to the final of the 2010 Women's Rugby World Cup losing to the Black Ferns in the final.
Under his tutelage they won five Six Nations's in a row and two Nations Cup.[5] England Women won the 2014 women's World Cup 21-9 against Canada. The assistant coaches were Graham Smith and Simon Middleton. He is currently the most successful English rugby coach in history.
