Gandzak (Armenian: Գանձակ; formerly Batikian, Batikyan) is a village in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. The village was named Batikian for a time in honor of Batik Batikian (18921920), a Communist activist. There is a half-ruined basilica of S. Astvatsatsin of the 4th or 5th century and a domed S. Gevorg church of the 9th or 10th century.[1]
