Gaga (dance vocabulary)

Gaga is a movement language invented by Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin. It is used by the Batsheva Dance Company, which is directed by Naharin, and by other dance companies and in classes for the general public. It employs terms for various body parts and movements such as "luna" or "moons" for the semi-circular flesh between fingers and toes, "lena" for the body core, and "pica" for the region between anus and genitals. A documentary called "Mr. Gaga", about Ohad Naharin and Gaga, was scheduled for post-production in 2010.[1]
