Gabby Bess
Gabby Bess is an American writer, poet and editor born in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1992. Bess grew up in Florida, Virginia, Hawaii, and Maryland, and currently lives in New York City. Bess founded the magazine Illuminati Girl Gang, a magazine featuring only female voices, and has been described as having a feminist aesthetic.[1] Her writing has appeared or been discussed by Rhizome,[2] The Nation,[3] and The Millions.[4]
Bess completed two years at the College of William and Mary before leaving the school and moving to New York.
In 2013, Bess read poems at the 89plus Marathon at Serpentine Galleries in London, UK during Frieze Art Fair week.
