GNL Zamba, born Ernest .N. Zamba is a Ugandan hip hop artist under the label of Baboon forest Entertainment and is considered to be one of East Africas' most influential artists. [1] He pursued a professional music career in 2007 after completing a bachelor's degree in environmental science at Makerere University in Uganda.[2] At first he was signed to platinum entertainment but after perceiving that he had potential, he formed BABOON FOREST ENT.[1] GNL is one of the Ugandan artists who have made more than three music collaborations with the Goodlyfe Crew boy since the beginning of their music career back in 2008. They joined back in 2008 following the release of mr.right song.[3] Other songs include Machoni, Akalimu.[4][5]

Music style and career

Zamba puts out hip hop which he christens with Luga flow packed with rhyme and poetry.[6] he provides his lyrics in Luganda and English language. GNL was one of the short-listed Ugandan musicians to perform in the Zain I BELIEVE CONCERT, to share the same stage with R Kelly, other artists that provided performances included Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Radio and Weasle, Iryn Namubiru, Peter Miles and Aziz Azion.[7]
