GISMA Business School, located in Hannover, Germany, is a privately funded institution of higher education. GISMA was launched in 1999 as a joint initiative by the state of Lower Saxony and private-sector enterprises.[4] In 2013 GISMA was rescued from bankruptcy after a partnership with Purdue University ended and became part of Global University Systems, described as "an Amsterdam-based consortium of eight educational institutions with campuses on three continents".[5]
GISMA currently offers MBA courses and is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA).[6][7][8]
The school has partnerships with the Maastricht School of Management, with which it offers the MsM MBA.[9]
In the meantime, the school is a partner of Global University Systems (GUS) being a worldwide alliance of education providers.[10]
