French legislative election, 1945 (Senegal-Mauritania)
Elections to the French National Assembly were held in the constituency of Senegal-Mauritania on 21 October 1945 as part of the wider parliamentary elections. Two members were elected from the seat, with the winners being French Section of the Workers International candidates Amadou Lamine-Gueye and Léopold Sédar Senghor.[1]
Results
Lamine-Gueye, who had been elected mayor of Dakar in June, was elected with 20,528 of the 26,726 votes cast.[2]
