French Film Festival UK

The French Film Festival UK (also named FFF UK) is an association founded in 1992. The association was first based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, before spreading to other parts of the United Kingdom. The Festival takes place generally between November and the beginning of December, with a programme of French or French-language movies (films, shorts, documentary, animations, etc.).

History

2006

The festival involves 5 cinemas welcoming guests such as Bertrand Tavernier, Cédric Klapisch, ...

2007

The festival is presentes in 5 cinemas showing films such asLe Couperet with José Garcia, the comedy Camping with Franck Dubosc Combien tu m'aimes ? with Gérard Depardieu and Monica Bellucci, ...

2009

The festival extended to 10 cities across the U.K.This year was marked by the presentation of films by Jacques Tati.

2010

The presentation of Petit Nicolas and showing Grand Amour from Pierre Etaix, in the trail of films from the preceding year. The festival welcomed more than 20,000 spectators.

2011

Between November 9th and December 4th the festival was broadcast in more than ten cities including London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.

2012

The 20th Anniversary of the festival between November 8th and December 2nd in over 12 cities including London,Edinburgh and Paris. The festival included a retrospective appraisal of Chantal Akerman and animation from Patrice Leconte as well as an Embassy reception in Paris with Ambassador Peter Ricketts with a piano performance by Jason Kouchak.

2013

Between November 7th and December 7th in more than ten cities including Edinburgh,Glasgow and Dundee.
