Freefonix is a British CGI animated television series about the adventures of fictional band of the same name.
The series launched on 4 January 2008 and aired on children channel CBBC's on their daily segment on BBC One for thirteen weeks. The rest of the series, which consists of 40 x 24 minute episodes, along with the first thirteen, broadcast over the winter period on weekends on CBBC from 8 December 2008 into the January of 2009.
Storyline
Freefonix have discovered a sophisticated way of fighting their battles against rival band Mantyz, by using the power of the Thirteenth Note, an awesome force that can bend space and minds when the perfect sound is created. When the two rival bands meet, the result is an explosive Soundclash, where the opposing forces do battle as all the energies of the Thirteenth Note are released.
Freefonix features performances from singers Jamelia, Justin Hawkins, cricketer Alastair Cook, and Joseph Fiennes and musician Haylie Ecker. With a budget of more than 10 million pound sterling ($15 million), Freefonix is the largest commission by BBC for an animation. The scripts for Freefonix were written in Los Angeles and Toronto, and story edited by Jeffrey Alan Schechter, Baz Hawkins, and Will Schifrin.

Freefonix
- BB (voiced by Shelley Longworth) - Lead singer of Freefonix, formally a member of the prepsi band BCD before becoming a Freewaver.
- "Freez" Freezbone (voiced by Marcel McCalla) - Lead guitar and backing singer/ rapper of the band. He named his guitar Misty.
- "Mo" Mostart (voiced by Jules de Jongh) - disc jockey of the band, whose SoundShaper device can produce backing beats, melodies and rhythms.
Mantyz
- Kurtz (speaking voice by Adam Longworth, singing voice by Justin Hawkins) - Self-absorbed lead singer and guitar player of Mantyz, who named his guitar Axe.
- Lady Lux (voiced by Shelley Longworth) - Mantyz's bass player, also the brains of the band in their schemes against Freefonix.
- Hitt (voiced by Joseph Fiennes) - The drummer of the band, whose clueless-ness often annoys the other members.

- Sugar Che - (voiced by Jamelia) - A Sonic Lord who banished Vox to the Void of Silencia and brought Freefonix together.
- Vox - An renegade Sonic Lord who Sugar Che trapped to the Void of Silencia and now seeks freedom from it through the evil schemes of Mya and Mantyz.
- Mya de Zya - The vain head of ComaCo, a record label who manufacture prepsi bands, who after is promised "untold riches and power" from Vox, decides to aid him in his fight against Freefonix.

- CC & Dee Dee - Two members of BB's old prepsi band BCD, like all prepsis are seen as shallow and obsessed with pop culture.
- Snug Fitt & DJ Loose - Two DJs that work at the Bounce, a Freewave music club.
- Nerdry - An employee at ComaCo, who occasionally assists Mya in her plans against Freefonix, much to her hatred towards him.
- Aw'right Jack - The owner of Jack's Pies and Fries where Freefonix like to dine.
- Mr & Mrs Start - Mostart's parents who are unaware of their annoyance towards their son.

Freefonix,created by Magnus Fiennes, Alex Tate and Simeon Warburton, is produced by Richelle Wilder and Chris Rice for Cinnamon Entertainment with Method Films and Toonz India Ltd|Toonz Animation. The series is directed by Jerome France and Pierre Alan Chartier, and features new tracks from Freefonix with some of the world's top record producing talents and features performances from Justin Hawkins (of The Darkness), Jamelia and Joseph Fiennes actor and brother of Magnus Feinnes.

A soundtrack to the show dubbed as Freefonix's debut studio album was released on 26 January 2009 by Freewave Records, featuring a hand-full of songs featured in the series. A second album is said to be produced only if there is enough interest.
