Rock Hard (de) | (9/10)[1] |
Freedumb is the ninth studio album by crossover band Suicidal Tendencies, released on May 18, 1999 on Suicidal Records.
The tracks are rawer than the funk influenced thrash metal direction they were taking before the hiatus. The album's cover art is a reference to the statue dedicated to the events in Iwo Jima during World War II.
The song "Cyco Vision" was featured on the video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. The album art can also be seen on a wall in the School level.
This song has also become a part of a popular drinking game called "Cyco Vision." The game involves the player to continually drink cask wine whilst spinning in a circle, during the chorus of the song. This causes severe disorientation and nausea, and often leads to injury and vomiting.
Reception
In 2005, Freedumb was ranked number 489 in Rock Hard magazine's book of The 500 Greatest Rock & Metal Albums of All Time.[2]
