Frederick Western
The Rt Rev Frederick James Western (24 February 1880 – November 24, 1951) was an Anglican bishop, the 5th Bishop of Tinnevelly[1] in the mid-20th century.[2]
He was born on 24 February 1880[3] and educated at Marlborough and Trinity College, Cambridge.[4] He joined the Cambridge Mission to Delhi in 1904 and was ordained 12 years later becoming its Head in 1918.[5] From 1923 to 1929 he was a Canon of Cathedral Church of the Resurrection, Lahore after which he was elevated to the Episcopate.[6] He died on November 24, 1951.[7]
