Fred Wright (cartoonist)
Fred Wright (1907–1984) was an American labor cartoonist and activist. He created thousands of cartoons on labor-related issues during his career which spanned from 1939 until his death in 1984. His first cartoon appeared in The Pilot, a publication owned by the National Maritime Union.[1] For many years he was employed by the United Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers of America.[2] Many of his works criticized various post-World War II policies such as McCarthyism.
