Frederick "Fred" A. Butters was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s and '30s, playing at representative level for Great Britain, and England, and at club level for Swinton, as a Loose forward/Lock, i.e. number 13, during the era of contested scrums.
International honours
Fred Butters, won a cap for England while at Swinton in 1932 against Wales,[1] and won caps for Great Britain while at Swinton in 1929-30 against Australia (2 matches).[2]
