Frederick "Fred" Brown was a Welsh professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s playing at representative level for Wales, and at club level for Oldham, and Wigan, as a Prop, or Second-row, i.e. number 8 or 10, or, 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.[1]

Fred Brown won caps for Wales while at Oldham 1921–1923 2-caps.[2]

Rugby Football League Championship final appearances

Fred Brown played Left-Prop, i.e. number 8 in Oldham's 2–13 defeat by Wigan in the 1921–22 Rugby Football League Championship final at The Cliff, Broughton on Saturday 6 May 1922.[3]

Sid Jerram played in Wigan's 1923–24, Lancashire League victory.[4]

Rugby Football Challenge Cup final appearances

Fred Brown played Left-Second-row, i.e. number 11 in Wigan's 21–4 victory over Oldham in the 1923–24 Challenge Cup final at Athletic Grounds, Rochdale on Saturday 12 April 1924.[5]
