Frankolovo (pronounced [fɾaŋˈkoːlɔvɔ]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Vojnik in eastern Slovenia. It lies on the main road north of Vojnik towards Slovenske Konjice. The area was traditionally part of the Styria region. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Savinja Statistical Region.[2]

Name

The name of the settlement was changed from Loka ob Tesnici to Frankolovo in 1955.[3]

Church

The parish church in the village is dedicated to Saint Joseph and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Celje. It was built between 1787 and 1789 and refurbished in 1822.[4]
