Athletics

Franklin High School athletic teams compete in the Southeast Conference of the WIAA. The baseball team competes in the Greater Metro Conference. All sports currently compete in division 1 athletics.

State championships and runners up

In 2007 the Franklin High School football team won the Division 2 state championship.

In 2013 the Franklin High School Football team was state runner up in the Division 1 State Championship

The Sabers baseball team won the Division 1 state championship in 2010 and 2011. The baseball team was state runner up in 2000.

The girls' swim medley relay team went to state in 2012. The junior varsity girls' swim team went undefeated in that same year.

The girls' basketball team was state runner up in 1999.

The boys' track team won a state title in 1969.

The Sabers Chess Team won the Division 2 State Championship in 2014.
