Frank Ernest Smith (May 13, 1872, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk – December 3, 1943, Sedbergh, Yorkshire) was a first-class cricketer who played 68 games, and later umpired.

His first-class playing career lasted from 1893 to the 1906/07 season during which time he represented Surrey, London County and Transvaal. He was noted as a slow orthodox left hand bowler.

As an umpire, he stood in five Test matches between 1902 and 1910.
