Frank Francis Osmond (31 January 1920 [1] — January 1973[2]) born in Newport district, is a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s, '40s and '50s, playing club level rugby union (RU) for Newport RFC, as a Hooker, i.e. number 2, and playing representative level rugby league (RL) for Wales, and at club level for Swinton, as a Hooker, i.e. number 9, during the era of contested scrums.[3]

International honours

Frank Osmond represented Great Britain (RL) while at Swinton in non-Test matches on the 1950 tour of Australasia, and won 14 caps for Wales (RL) in 1948–1951 while at Swinton.[4]
