Frank Chambers

Frank Chambers (born 3 March 1949)[1] is a Fianna Fáil politician from Newport, County Mayo in Ireland.

Married with four children, Chambers is an auctioneer and farmer, and a member of Mayo County Council since 1976.[2]

At the 1997 Seanad election, he stood unsuccessfully on the Cultural and Educational Panel. After his defeat he was nominated by the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, to the 21st Seanad, but was not re-appointed in 2002. He stood in the Mayo constituency at the 2002 and 2007 general elections, but did not win a seat.[3]

Chambers and fellow FF councillor Tim Quinn from Belmullet are the only Fianna Fáil politicians to back the Shell to Sea campaign.
