Francis Griffith Newlands Memorial Fountain is a historic fountain, located at Chevy Chase Circle, Northwest, Washington, D.C., in the Chevy Chase neighborhood. The fountain honors Francis G. Newlands, a U.S. Senator and founder of Chevy Chase, Maryland, and an outspoken white supremicist who lobbied for adoption of his "white plank" for constitutional amendments to forever disenfranchise African-Americans and prohibit immigration to non-whites. Neighborhood proposals have been made to remove the honorific plaques celebrating Newlands, while others favor continuation of the honor at the fountain.
It was designed by Edward Wilton Donn in 1933, and was erected in 1938. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
