Francesco Rossi is an Italian DJ and producer.

Biography

Rossi began as a DJ in Tuscany. He performed at festivals including Swiss Street Parade, Sunwaves Festival Romania, Amnesia Ibiza and Ultra Music Festival for four consecutive years (2007-2010).[1][2]

Producer

In 2010 he launched a record label, Rouge Purple.[3] In 2011 he launched a radio show, Respect DJs.[4] He released tracks on record labels d:vision, Strictly Rhythm[5] and Ultra Music.[6]

"Paper Aeroplane" (based on Angus & Julia Stone's song) was released on the Italian record label d:vision in May 2013. It was selected as Pete Tong's Essential New Tune[7] and was featured in Maya Jane Coles' BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.[8]

In September 2013, Rossi won the 2013 DJ Awards. "Paper Aeroplane" was nominated best Track of the Season during the winners ceremony at Pacha in Ibiza.[9] In 2013 Rossi reached #1 on DMC Buzz Chart twice.

In January 2014 Rossi was selected as "Future Stars" by Pete Tong during his radio show on BBC Radio 1.[10]

In May 2014 Rossi joined forces with Ozark Henry on his single "Godspeed You", which reached #1 on DMC Buzz Chart. In June 2014 along with Ozark Henry he performed at the MTV Italia Awards in Florence and the "Coca Cola Summer Festival" in Rome, broadcast on the Italian television channel Canale 5.
