Francesca Marie Smith (born March 26, 1985) is an American actress. She is best known as the voice of Helga Pataki on Nickelodeon's Hey Arnold! (1996–2004).
Career
Smith provided the voice of Ashley B, Upside-Down Girl, Swinger Girl on Disney Channel's Recess, and made two cameo appearances on Nickelodeon's The Amanda Show, as one of Amanda's friends. She also starred as Penny in Fillmore for one episode.
Personal life
Smith graduated from California's Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics in 2006. She also studied at Pepperdine University, where she received a Master of Arts in Communication, graduating in 2008. Smith received a Master of Arts in Communication in 2012, and expects to receive a Doctor of Philosophy in Communication (in 2014) from the University of Southern California (USC). She is a Provost's Fellow and a Graduate Assistant at USC where she teaches the course COMM 322 "Argumentation and Advocacy".
