Francesca Hilton (March 10, 1947 - January 6, 2015) was an American actress, photographer and comedian.

Early life

Francesca Hilton was born in 1947 in New York City.[1][2] Her father, Conrad Hilton, was the founder of the Hilton Hotel chain.[1][3][4] Her mother, Zsa Zsa Gabor was a Hungarian-born actress.[1][3][4] Her three half-brothers are Conrad Nicholson Hilton, Jr. (1926-1969); William Barron Hilton (born 1927);[3] and Eric Michael Hilton (born in 1932). She attended movie premieres with her mother and competed in equestrian competitions as a child.[2][3]

She worked in reservations at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California during summers as a teenager.[1] When her father died in 1979, he left most of his wealth to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.[1] Hilton contested the will, which left her only $100,000, but lost the suit.[1][3]

Career

She starred in A Safe Place in 1971.[1][2] She worked as a photographer in the 1980s.[1][2] She also worked for the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.[3] She then starred in Pterodactyl Woman from Beverly Hills in 1997 and Forever Fabulous in 1999.

In 2008, she started a new career as a comedian, performing on a regular basis at the The Comedy Store in West Hollywood.[1] Her show talked about her family.[5] She joked that her great-nieces, Paris and Nicky Hilton, were "pole dancers and porn stars."[5]

According to her publicist, Edward Lozzi, she was writing an autobiography shortly before she died in 2015.[1][2] Its title was scheduled to be Hotels, Diamonds and Me.[6]

Personal life

Hilton resided in Los Angeles.[1] She was engaged to Michael Natis.[1][4]

On June 1, 2005, her stepfather, Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt, filed suit against her in a California court and accused her of fraud.[1] Hilton denied the allegations.[1] After she lost her home to a foreclosure in 2005, she rented apartments and lived with friends over the next few years. During the last few months of her life she was forced to live in her car or rent a cheap weekly apartment.[3]

Death

She had a massive stroke at Norms Restaurant on La Cienga Blvd in West Hollywood and was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on January 5, 2015.[1][2][4] Her body remained in a morgue for days until her brother Baron Hilton arranged her funeral.[3] She was 67 years old. She was cremated and her ashes were interred at the Westwood Memorial Park close to her Aunt Eva Gabor.[5][7]
