Frances Mason

Frances Mason is a British musician.^[1] Studied as a child with Albert Sammons. She was a scholar at the Royal College of Music where she won many prizes. She went on to win the National Federation of Music Societies' Award for Young Concert Artists and was a prizewinner in the Carl Fleisch International Violin Competition and the BBC Violin Competition.

Frances broadcasts regularly for the BBC, including concerto performances in the BBC Promenade Concerts.

Mason is a Professor at the Royal College of Music.

Her chamber music career started in the Julian Bream Consort and Zorian String Quartet. She has performed worldwide as leader of the Music Group of London. Frances now leads the Rasumovsky String Quartet^[2] and the Tagore String Trio.
