Career

She worked on a collaboraton with Jim Sheridan, six-time Academy Award-nominated filmmaker for writing, producing and directing (My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father, Brothers). Currently, Jon Doscher and Jim Sheridan are in the process of packaging a feature film production deal.
The collaboration between Jon Doscher, Fran Ganguzza and Jim Sheridan resulted in an agreement to produce the full-length feature film: Old Stoneface, which depicts the illustrious and controversial career of Lester Piggott, the greatest flat Jockey in England’s history and perhaps the best jockey of all time.
Fran will be co-producer on The Westies, a film about a predominantly Irish-American organized crime association operating from the Hell's Kitchen area of Manhattan's West Side in New York City; Jim Sheridan is currently completing the Old Stoneface screenplay and its funding has been partially secured. Casting for Old Stoneface is potentially scheduled for Fall 2012.
Philanthropic/Charitable Projects
Blauvelt Mansion Project
Jon Doscher and Starline Films are now producing a short film loosely based on the history of the Atwood-Blauvelt mansion, in Oradell, New Jersey. The Blauvelt Mansion, as it is commonly known, was built between 1896 and 1897 and is considered the grandest example of shingle style architecture in Bergen County, New Jersey. The short film is dedicated to philanthropic endeavors and is aligned with the Blauvelt-Demarest Foundation, the official charitable organization for the Bluefield movie project. This is the organization which operates the Hiram Blauvelt Museum, also located on the same property of the Blauvelt Mansion.
Jon is directing this film and hopes to bring awareness to the plight of the Blauvelt Mansion, and ultimately secure the mansion a nomination to the State and National Registers of Historic Places, as its future is uncertain.
