François Dagognet

François Dagognet (French: [dagɔɲɛ]; born April 24, 1924) is a French philosopher.

François Dagognet was born in Langres. He studied both science and philosophy, and was a student of Georges Canguilhem. He was professor of philosophy at the University of Lyon before becoming professor of philosophy at Pantheon-Sorbonne University.[1]

Dagognet has written extensively on the philosophy of the body.
