Forgotten Freshness Vol. 5 is the 11th compilation album by Insane Clown Posse and the 5th in the "Forgotten Freshness series". It was released on October 29, 2013 and features a guest appearance by Twiztid. It is the group's 30th overall release.

Background

The album was first heard about in mid 2013. The original cover art was to be yellow instead of the lighter purple color that was chosen. One of the oldest tracks found on the album is "Mancow Made Us" released in 1998, and the most recent track is "The Kreayshawn Song" released in 2013, when this album was released. The song "Duke Of The Wicked" was released on DJ Clay's 2010 mixxtape Book of the Wicked, Chapter 1. "Jacob's Word" was released on Insane Clown Posse's 2000 EP Dark Carnival Action Figures EP. "The Great Show" was released on Insane Clown Posse's The Pendulum in 2002. "The Kreayshawn Song" was released after Kreayshawn ignored ICP's invite to make a music video for the remix of "When I'm Clownin'" that was featured on the White Pop of The Mighty Death Pop!, Extra Pop Emporium. The song was done as a joke, of Violent J being "madly in love with Kreayshawn". A music video was done for the song and released in 2014. "Goblin" was featured on DJ Clay's 2013 mixxtape A World Upside Down: The Mixxtape. "Fuck My Dad (Richard Bruce)" was released as a Father's Day 2013 single. "Mancow Made Us" was done after Mancow had a segment on ICP, and it helped project them, and gain more of a fanbase. "Mountain Girl" was the B-Side of the 12" vinyl single "Lech Mich Im Arsch", a 2-song collaboration with Jack White. "It's Going Down" & "Party In The Woods" are from the 2005 Gathering of the Juggalos EP. The song "It's Going Down" was simply called "Intro" on that release, and "Party In The Woods" didn't have the word party in its title.
