Forever Young is the debut album released by German synthpop/rock group Alphaville on September 27, 1984, by Warner Music Group. It is Alphaville's most critically acclaimed album, with an estimated 2,000,000 copies sold.
Reviews are generally positive, with one reviewer calling it "a classic synth pop album" and "a wonderfully fun ride from start to finish."[2] It charted well, hitting the Top 20 in six European countries (and reaching no. 1 in Norway and Sweden), but it failed to make an impact on the US charts, faring no better than no. 180, or in the UK. Alphaville followed up with their second album in 1986 with the release of Afternoons in Utopia.
