Forest Gate Community School is a thriving secondary school Forest Gate, part of the London Borough of Newham, in the east of London, England.[1] The school is very close to Forest Gate railway station, and local bus services allowing good transport access for all its students.
Forest Gate Community School had an Ofsted inspection in September 2009 and received a good rating. Ofsted described the school as outstanding in two respects: the management of teaching and learning, and students' social, moral, spiritual and cultural development.
The current head teacher is Simon Elliott who last year presided over the school's best ever GCSE results. This included 74% of students obtaining a grade A*-C in English (national average only 61%), 77% of students obtaining a grade A*-C in Maths (national average only 63%), and 22% of students got 3 or more A* or A grades.
