The Football Federation of Turkmenistan (Turkmen: Türkmenistanyň Futbol Federasiýasy) is the governing body of football in Turkmenistan.
History
Founded in 1992. In 1994 he was admitted to FIFA, which registers all the matches of the national teams of all countries,members of FIFA. The national team of Turkmenistan newly elected their first matches held in 1992, these matches FIFA registered on the basis that, although the Football Federation of Turkmenistan became a member of FIFA in 1994, the national team of Turkmenistan was allowed since 1992 to participate in the tournament, held under the auspices of FIFA . Also in 1994, the federation adopted in the Asian Football Confederation.
In March 2003, at a special conference Football Federation of Turkmenistan transformed into the Association. As a result of the secret ballot, the chairman of the Football Association of Turkmenistan elected by a majority vote Allaberdy Mammetkuliyev.[2]
In March 2007, FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter and AFC Presdient Mohamed Bin Hammam opened in Ashgabat, House of Football - new headquarters of the Football Association of Turkmenistan, which is located in one of the luxury houses in the southern part of Ashgabat.[3][4]
In May 2008, the post of chairman of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan was nominated governor of Ashgabat Deryageldy Orazov. Other proposals are not followed as a result, the voting procedure disappeared by itself, and was elected chairman Orazov.[5]
In May 2012, the post of chairman of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan was nominated Vice Premier Sapardurdy Toylyev, supported by all the delegates of the conference.[6] The conference adopted a new logo.
