The Florida State University College of Social Work, located in Tallahassee, Florida, is one of sixteen colleges comprising the Florida State University (FSU). The College is the oldest and most established in Florida. Degrees offered include the BSW, MSW, and PhD. In U.S. News & World Report's 2001 Graduate Rankings, FSU Social Work ranked in the top 15 among public universities and 25th among public and private universities. The College maintains relationships with over 300 social service agencies through Florida and the Southeast, including 18 Veterans Administration agencies to educate students through field instruction. A limited number of students also complete internships abroad. Faculty members have national recognition attained through their scholarly contributions and their leadership positions in professional community associations. A recent ranking published in the Chronicle of Higher Education (2007) ranked the College of Social Work PhD program 4th in the nation.
