Flora Carabella (26 February 1926 – 20 April 1999) was an Italian film, television and stage actress.
Life and career
Born in Rome, the daughter of the composer Ezio, Carabella studied acting at the Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts and began working as an actress on stage, first with Orazio Costa and then in the company of Luchino Visconti.[1][2] In 1950 she married Marcello Mastroianni, with whom she never filled for divorce, in spite of Mastroianni's well-known sentimental relationships.[1][2] Her intermittent career includes films by Roberto Rossellini, Lina Wertmüller and Sergio Citti.[1] Carabella died, aged 73, by bone tumor.[1][2]
