Fleming Summit
Not to be confused with Mount Fleming.
Fleming Summit (84°20′S 166°18′E / 84.333°S 166.300°ECoordinates: 84°20′S 166°18′E / 84.333°S 166.300°E) is a peak rising to over 4,200 metres (13,800 ft), 1.5 kilometres (0.9 mi) west of Mount Kirkpatrick in the Queen Alexandra Range, Antarctica. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1995 after Thomas H. Fleming, a geologist at Ohio State University, who conducted field research in this area, 1985–86 and 1990–91.[1]
