Flatbush Avenue was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line. It was originally built on April 24, 1888, and had 2 tracks and 1 island platform.[1] It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line, and until 1920, trains of the BMT Brighton Line. The station was located west of the BMT Fifth Avenue Line, but had no connection to that elevated line. The next stop to the east was Lafayette Avenue. The next stop to the west was Elm Place – Duffield Street. It closed on May 31, 1940. The nearest existing rapid transit station to serve as a substitute is the 1908-built Nevins Street station along the IRT Eastern Parkway Line.
