Flamenco rock

Flamenco rock is a rock music subgenre that originated in the United States, with further developments in the United Kingdom and Spain, throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s. It developed from progressive rock and rock, and originated from flamenco, as an attempt to give greater artistic weight and credibility to rock music. The only band known to have played and originally mixed flamenco and rock music is Carmen, an American-British rock band.
