The Flag of Rojava (Ala Tevgera Civaka Demokratîk a Rojavaya Kurdistanê) is the current flag of the autonomous region of Rojava in Syria. It is a horizontal tricolor with bands of yellow, red, and green. This is the same flag as that of the Movement for a Democratic Society(TEV-DEM), the political coalition governing Rojava, which is in turn based off of the flag of the Democratic Union Party, the dominant party in Rojava. The kurdish national council (KNC) a coalition wich includes all kurdish parties in syria except the PYD, rejects this flag and are using the flag of Kurdistan same as the one used in Iraq instead. ^[1]
