Finian Lobhar

Finian Lobhar (died 560) was an early Irish saint, commonly referred to as Saint Finian the Leper.

He was born in Bregia, Leinster, Ireland, and was credited with founding the monastery at Innisfallen in Killarney.[1] He was a strict abbot whose monks followed a vegetarian diet.[2] Later he became abbot of Swords Abbey near Dublin.[1] His feast day is on 16 March.[2]
