Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius (ファイナルファンタジー ブレイブエクスヴィアス Fainaru Fantajī Bureibu Ekusuvuiasu) is an upcoming Japanese mobile role-playing game developed by A-Lim and published by Square Enix for both iOS and Android. A side spinoff of the Final Fantasy series, the game marks as the first collaborative effort between A-Lim and Square-Enix.[1] The game is directed and produced by Hisatoshi Hayakashi with illustrations by Yoshitaka Amano. It is largely based on A-Lim's previous game, Brave Frontier. It is stated to be released in Q1 2015 in Japan.[2]

Development

The game is first revealed at the Final Fantasy Live Event in Tokyo alongside Final Fantasy Legends: Toki no Suishō and the Final Fantasy Portal App[3] Brave Exvius is considered as a full-pledged free-to-play JRPG game with "deep story and diverse characters" and to "inherit the legacy of Final Fantasy."[4] Hisatoshi Hayakashi of Brave Frontier directs and produces the game[5] while Naoshi Mizuta composes the game's overall musical score. Illustrations of the characters are handles by Yoshitaka Amano, who illustrated art on early Final Fantasy works.[6][7][8]

Despite the name "Brave" in the title, the game won't have anything in common with Hayakashi's previous work.
