The fiery-throated fruiteater (Pipreola chlorolepidota) is a species of bird in the Cotingidae family. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is becoming rare due to habitat loss.[1] Its population size and range are limited causing this species to be considered near threatened.[2]
