Fieldwire is a mobile-first collaboration platform [1] designed for construction foremen, superintendents and engineers. The application allows field workers to access up-to-date information like blueprints, files and tasks directly on their mobile device.

Product

Fieldwire focuses on the effective collaboration of field workers around three core use cases:

The collaboration platform is structured around plans and trades allowing users to create tasks attached to specific locations on plans as well as add comments, photos and annotations in each of them. Tasks are automatically uploaded to a centralized server and dispatched to the other members on the project through wifi and cellular network. Fieldwire works both offline and online allowing users to continue working in conditions where little or no network connectivity is available.

API

In July 2014, Fieldwire released an API to third-party developers and clients allowing them to develop integrations with existing services. Fieldwire is also integrated with several popular productivity tools including Dropbox, Box, Google Drive.

Pricing

Fieldwire is free for small teams with unlimited projects and tasks. Fieldwire Premium plans (SaaS = Software as a Service) are paid versions of the product for larger teams and grant access to additional features.

Company History

The San Francisco, California based startup company was founded in 2013 around a core team of construction and computer science experts and went through the startup incubator program AngelPad.[2][3] Fieldwire is venture capital-backed by investors[4] such as Bloomberg Beta, Trinity Ventures and AngelPad.
