Field Day (Sydney festival)

Not to be confused with London music festival Field Day.

Field Day Festival, is an outdoor music festival held every year on New Years Day in Sydney, it is a one day music festival based on the dance genre. Local musical talent is showcased, as well as international guests.[1]

In 2007 and 2008 Field Day was voted the best festival in New South Wales in the annual InTheMix 50.[2] The 2009 Field Day had 25,000 people in attendance.[3]

At the 2012 Field Day there was over 19,000 people in attendance, with NSW police making over 100 arrests for drug possession.[4][5]
