Fernando David Ramsey Ramsey (born December 20, 1965 in Rainbow City, Panama) is a retired Major League Baseball outfielder.

Career

He played during one season at the major league level for the Chicago Cubs. He was drafted by the Cubs in the 33rd round of the 1987 amateur draft. Ramsey played his first professional season with their Class A (Short Season) Geneva Cubs in 1987, and his last with the Chicago White Sox's Triple-A Nashville Sounds in 1996.

Early life

Growing up, he was also active and successful in track and field, winning medals for Panamá at the Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships.[1]
